  • COTTAGE CAPACITY - The number of persons allowed per cottage is either: four (2 bedroom) OR six (3 bedroom).
  • NO EXCEPTIONS - extra persons includes babies & children
  • VISITORS - Visitors for the day MUST REGISTER at the office on arrival. The charge for visitors is $20.00 per person / per day. Overnight visitors ONLY IF COTTAGE CAPACITY PERMITS, IS $50.00 per person. Visitors remaining in the resort after 10 PM are considered to be staying overnight.
  • BOOKING DEPOSIT - $300.00 per Cottage per Week
  • PAYMENT - Payment of your cottage is due upon arrival. We welcome your inspection of our facilities & your cottage prior to payment. Payment by cash only. Cheques will only be accepted by prior arrangement. A $50.00 charge is applicable on any NSF cheques.
  • SECURITY DEPOSIT - $200.
  • CHECK-IN TIME - At 2 PM on Saturdays for regular weekly rentals. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT YOUR COTTAGE TO BE READY EARLIER. Your cottage status will be provided on registration at the office. Unless prior arrangements have been made, We RESERVE THE RIGHT to Re-Rent your cottage if your reservation is not claimed by 6PM
  • CHECK-OUT TIME - 9 AM-SHARP- on SATURDAY for regular weekly rentals.
  • MARINE POLICY - All regular weekly Boat & Motor rentals terminate on Friday night at 8pm
  • BOATS AND MOTORS - Are rented for fishing and boating only and not for water tubing/skiing. * Minimum age for the operation of our Boat & Motors is 18 years of age. * Boats & Motor Rentals "MUST" be at the Docks Before Dark - Daily. * You are responsible for ANY damage to the Boat & Motor outside of normal wear and tear.
  • NO STORAGE - Of Gasoline in or around cottages or on Idle Hours property.
  • PETS - Allowed only with prior approval by Resort Management.
  • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES - are ONLY allowed on the Resort Property , this is the law in Ontario (Liquor Licenses Act of Ontario).
  • GENERAL * Patrons are responsible for the actions and the safety of their children, guests and pets (if approved by Resort Management).
    * Please respect your neighbors' cottage site when moving about in the grounds.
    * For the enjoyment of all concerned, ALL QUIET AFTER 11pm.
    * Noisy parties and profane language will not be tolerated.
    * Please use the fish house (it's free) for cleaning fish, NOT your cottage.
    * Please put only toilet tissue provided in the toilets, anything else harms the septic system.
    * Please DO NOT pour your grease down the toilet/sink -USE CANS- Provided & ask us to exchange when full.

    Please understand that these policies are for your protection and enjoyment as The Management of Idle Hours Fishing Resort is NOT RESPONSIBLE for Missing Articles or Accidents. All Rates Listed are in Canadian Dollars. All Rates Subject to Taxes. You are expected to leave the cottage in the same condition you found it, including cleanliness. Cleaning supplies and a check list are provided. It will be inspected as soon as you depart, so that it will be ready for the incoming guests. Failure to do so will result in forfeiting some of your security deposit plus an administration charge. Up to $100 cleaning fee will be charged if boat or cottage is left unreasonably dirty.
  • Cancellations:
    * Deposits are refundable less $100.00 Administration Fee with 6 weeks notice prior to reservation dates.
    * Less than 6 weeks notice, refunds are based on our ability to-re-book the accommodation.
    * No Refund for late arrivals or early departures.
    * All Rates are in Canadian Dollars.
    *Taxes EXTRA on Quoted prices.(GST/PST)
    *All rates and policies subject to change without notice.
  • Parking

  • * 2 vehicles per cottage unless otherwise notified and approved.
  • Campfires - Designated areas only.
  • Fish Cleaning
  • * Fish Cleaning House & Freezing provided for in designated area only. Life-Jackets must be worn when any person is in use of boats that are owned by Idle Hours resort. Keep grounds clear and safe from litter, etc. Please use garbage containers provided
